Remember Me
Toss a stone. The world is nothing but geometric bliss this second; only you would say otherwise.
Natural order is our friend, my dear. I feel your love much more strongly than I ever imagined I could feel...well, anything.
Nothing more than passion is spoken in this place. I know the kiss of the stone and the whisper of the blade, but they break to pieces before you.
For you are mine.
Come and break the bread with me. See how we baked it, with your hand and mine, side by side, denting the dough? I do not believe in the lie of lonliness, the rapture of heaven's gate less so, less so.
We walk the waters edge afterwards, searching for Eurydice, Orpheous or their ilk. Ohh, I believe with all of my heart that you and I can make it; that we can survive these morasses, the pangs of nature turning us fickle and old before our time.
And at night's fall, we will wrap ourselves with the stars, dance barefoot on the snow. I will allow myself wildness, you will allow yourself capriciousness, and, for once, we will meet halfway.
I will not be parted from you.
We walk the world together, insane, wild, a bit prophetic, even the tinest bit wise. This is the season of our love, a love that I'm quite sure will pass.
There hasn't been a man who hasn't had their fill of me yet; I am as tiresome as a vinager pie, less useful, by the more. But we have now. Now is of the essence.
The sepparation is to come.
Oh, I know it's to come, but I refuse to await the sepperation.
The words come to me in my dreams, a whisper, a promise, a hope and a prayer.
Remember me when I am gone. Remember. Remember.
DANTE'S PRAYER (7.11)
Music and Lyrics Loreena McKennitt
When the dark wood fell before me
And all the paths were overgrown
When the priests of pride say there is no other way
I tilled the sorrows of stone
I did not believe because I could not see
Though you came to me in the night
When the dawn seemed forever lost
You showed me your love in the light of the stars
Cast your eyes on the ocean
Cast your soul to the sea
When the dark night seems endless
Please remember me
Then the mountain rose before me
By the deep well of desire
From the fountain of forgiveness
Beyond the ice and fire
Cast your eyes on the ocean
Cast your soul to the sea
When the dark night seems endless
Please remember me
Though we share this humble path, alone
How fragile is the heart
Oh give these clay feet wings to fly
To touch the face of the stars
Breathe life into this feeble heart
Lift this mortal veil of fear
Take these crumbled hopes, etched with tears
We'll rise above these earthly cares
Cast your eyes on the ocean
Cast your soul to the sea
When the dark night seems endless
Please remember me
Please remember me
