Laverne/Lenny 'ship tribute
About
Lenny and Laverne grew up together in Milwaukee. Though the twosome argue and are almost jocular combatants throughout the show, it's very obvious throughout the course of Laverne and Shirley that Lenny has a crush on Laverne.
He proposes to her five times during the show, including twice during two dream/fantasy sequences.
In "Hi, Neighbor", Laverne sews one of her "L"s onto the back of Lenny's jacket, completing the term "Lone Wolf" Lenny convinces Laverne to go to her mother's grave, which she's never visited, in "A Visit To The Cemetary." He also convinces her not to give up Shirley when she becomes a beatnick in "The Beatnick Show," and not to move in with her boyfriend in "Moving In". In "The Guitar Show" (AKA: Sing Sing Sing), Lenny and Laverne duet on a song written by Michael McKean, "The Look".
The two remain friends throughout the show, with their usual antagonistic edge.
