Sally and the St. Paulie Girl



He feels alone tonight. His best girlfriend in a nest with her new hubby, and simply won't answer her cell.

His mother calls to ask how he's doing, and of course he's fine. In the dead air after her call, he dials a new number.

"Hello? Residence of the Late Mister Stan-"

"Rosario? Can you put me through to Karen?"

The sigh is heavy and expectant. The line goes temporarily dead and a string of shrieked insults rend the air, then taper off into nothingness.

"I love that gal. Merry Christmas, Sally."

"Merry Christmas, St. Paulie Girl." Will Truman says.
